Multi-media, watercolor, oil, and clay
Janet is a multi-media artist working in clay, oil, and watercolors. She has lived in New Bern since 1989. She started Carolina Creations in downtown New Bern and owned it for 25 years before selling the gallery in 2017. She is still the resident artist at Carolina Creations.
Best known for her watercolor paintings of New Bern, since selling the gallery she has been concentrating on oil painting. Her first major show of oils was in November 2022 and since then she has been working on a “Looking Up” series of New Bern landmarks.
Celebration Pottery is the name of her line of ceramics which she creates using underglazes in a watercolor manner. Her website features her prints, originals, and pottery, along with a blog about her art and travels.
