Alexander Lazaroff was born in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1946. His father was Russian, and his mother was Italian. Mr. Lazaroff was educated at the University of Massachusetts (BA in 1971) and the University of Rhode Island (MBA in 1988). Although a businessman most of his career, Mr. Lazaroff maintained a lifelong interest in oil painting and studied painting in Massachusetts and portraiture at the Rhode Island School of Design.
Mr. Lazaroff has traveled extensively throughout his life and lived in Geneva, Switzerland; Africa; and Italy. Mr. Lazaroff became a permanent resident of New Bern, North Carolina, in 2022.
His paintings reflect the various places he has visited and lived. Mr. Lazaroff specializes in portraits, landscapes, and seascapes.
