Nature and landscape photographer
Throughout her life, Donna Hodgins has been framing the world through the lens of a camera, documenting the passage of time, people, places, and events in her ever changing world.
Having a camera close at hand was a necessity for her, not an option. It took 50 years until she turned her hobby into a profession. Focusing through the lens forces her to slow down, observe and take the time to really see. From wide landscapes to critter closeups, she is in constant search of unique compositions that capture the beauty of nature, the humor around us, and transience of life.
Donna’s images have been displayed in galleries, libraries and juried art shows across eastern North Carolina. Her work is currently for sale at the Bank of Arts Gallery and at the Tar River Arts Collaborative in Rocky Mount, where she is a resident artist.
