Oil and Acrylic Painter
Sally Sutton works in oil and acrylic but also enjoys gouache and watercolor for sketching. She also enjoys using oil paint with a palette knife to create a rich and three dimensional effect in her colorful impressionistic work.
Sally holds a BFA in Illustration and a MFA in Drawing and Painting from East Carolina University. She is represented by Carolina Creations in New Bern, City Art Gallery in Greenville, New Elements Gallery in Wilmington N.C and Alamance Arts in Graham, NC. She has had shows locally and abroad.
Sally has taught classes at East Carolina University and New Bern Community College and has had many workshops in her studio located in Pittsboro, N.C. Recently, she had a show titled “Color and Light” at Alamance Arts Gallery exhibiting her oils, textiles and piano compositions that added another dimension to her work.
