Weaving and Watercolor Artist
Linda started weaving traditional baskets in 1985 and from there has gone into use of alternate materials such as watercolor paper, wire, beads, waxed linen and some natural materials. She has then taken weaving into the watercolor arena. She paints 2 pictures, very similar but varied colors, cuts them and then weaves them back together creating a sort of abstract painting. She has taught basket classes at many state basket conventions but is currently staying local and trying to create new art.
She has had patterns of baskets that she created published in basket books as well as being represented in book’s gallery section.
She is currently represented Community Artist Gallery in New Bern.
