Acrylic Painter and Photographer
Having completed a degree in 3-Dimensional Design in her native England Noreen married her American husband and moved to Upstate New York where she made her career in Commercial Interior Design and Space Planning.
She moved to New Bern a few years ago, drawn here in part by its history and vibrant art community which inspired her to pick up her paintbrush once again.
Noreen’s creations include seashell jewelry and ornaments, acrylic paintings and photography. Her subjects have included botanicals, abstracts, coastal themes, barn quilts and pets. Her paintings are typically bright, colorful, and detailed.
Noreen is a member of TRAA and has recently displayed her art at the New Bern Public Library. She was also awarded First Place in this year’s Silver Arts drawing section for her colored pencil piece ‘Wilber the Wirehaired Vizsla’.
Noreen’s art can be found at the Community Artists Gallery and Studios in Downtown New Bern and online at Noreencreates.com
