Figurative Watercolors
Karen Noll Schaaf uses transparent watercolors to express the beauty of the human experience and to capture the unique life moments of her portrait subjects.
Her most recent accolades include selection into the 2024 Transparent Watercolor Society Exhibition, the American Watercolor Society’s 2024 Member Exhibition, and the 2024 Fabriano International Congress, representing the United States. Her work will be published in Splash 25: The Best of Watercolor, the special issue of Artists Magazine featuring the world’s best watercolor artists.
An internationally award-winning artist and instructor, Schaaf has earned signature status in the National Watercolor Society, the Southern Watercolor Society, the Georgia Watercolor Society, and the Watercolor Society of North Carolina.
