Cindy had spent Saturday mornings studying watercolor painting with a neighbor/artist in her teenage years in New Jersey. Paints supplies were forgotten as life became busy with school, military, career and family.
Interest in painting was reawakened many years later in North Carolina, after a couple local art classes and painting demonstrations during the weeklong New Bern Plein Air Events.
Members of the local Plein Air Painters encouraged her to join them and give it a try.
Always interested in learning something new, Cindy has played with pastels and acrylic but has been concentrating on oil painting. She has shown several pieces at shows at Bank of the Arts. She has been inspired by the numerous talented artists in the area, some, like her, who only began to feed their creative appetites after successful careers in other fields.
