Clay & Acrylic Artist
Catherine received her BFA from Longwood University in 1985 but put her artistic pursuits on hold to raise her two boys. During that time she attended 4 sessions at Penland School of Arts and Crafts with interest in painting and clay works.
She is published in Clay Times, Ceramics Monthly, and Lark Books. She has participated in several group and one-person exhibits through the years including the International Orton Cone Box Show, Best Art in the Triangle Show Lee Hensley Gallery, Craft Alliance Traveling Show beginning at Forbes Gallery NY, Meredith College Three Person Show “Through the Looking Glass” (one of her favorite themes and authors-Lewis Carroll).
Catherine has an over-the-top sense of humor which she considers a mental health necessity…”laughter really is good medicine even at oneself – especially at oneself.”
